Cynthia Carreon is our Wonder Woman! She keeps the Greenhorn running smoothly and handles Human Resources, Accounting, Housekeeping, Activities, Front Desk, Reservations, and is our staff wedding planner. She’s been a Greenhorn for twelve years and her organization and sense of humor keep the staff on their toes and laughing.

Jade is riding into her third season at the ranch and now holds the reins as Assistant Director of Operations. She started out welcoming guests at the front desk and has steadily grown into a trusted leader, fueled by hard work and determination.

Her journey to the ranch feels like destiny—she was hired on the spot the very same day she put down roots by buying property in the Greenhorn community. A proud Plumas County local for eight years, Jade loves calling this rugged country home and being part of its close-knit community.

As a wife and mom of two spirited teenage girls, she cherishes sharing the ranch way of life with her family, who take pride in pitching in and keeping the ranch running strong. When she’s not at the ranch, Jade is blazing her own trail through law school, aiming to practice family law right here in Plumas County after she graduates in May 2026 and passes the Bar.

Alyssa Beard Greenhorn Head Wrangler is a dedicated Licensed Veterinary Technician and Equine Specialist with over 20 years of experience in horse care, riding, and veterinary medicine. Alyssa is in her second year at the Greenhorn, where she ensures guest safety and enjoyment on horseback while overseeing the care of a 55+ horse herd. With a strong background in natural horsemanship, veterinary ophthalmology, and surgical assistance, Alyssa brings a unique blend of technical expertise and hands-on horse management. Her passion for equine health, guest engagement, and collaboration makes her an invaluable asset at the Ranch.

Passionate about the outdoors and ranch life, she brings years of experience working with mustangs, training colts, and guiding trail rides. When she’s not in the saddle, she enjoys hiking, kayaking, and connecting with nature. With a background in everything from homesteading to dairy farming, she now helps greenhorns discover the beauty of the trail.

Brian Doyle is a graduate of the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco. Brian then honed his skills at several resorts in Reno, Sonoma and Napa including the Napa Valley Wine Train. Brian spent the last decade developing cuisine for discerning clients aboard private yachts traveling the Bahamas, Costa Rica, Panama, and other remote areas in South America. Brian is passionate about supporting local Sierra vendors by provisioning local ingredients to bring you the freshest farm to fork cuisine in the region. When not greeting guests at the Greenhorn, Brian enjoys big game fishing, skiing, scuba diving and camping.

Now in his third season, Brendan is the ranch’s Facility Manager, making sure everything keeps running smooth and steady behind the scenes. With family roots digging deep in Plumas County since 1952, he’s proud to help preserve the ranch’s old-school spirit and the timeless way of life that gives this place its heart.

He calls Greenhorn home, where he’s a familiar face in the community and always ready to lend a hand wherever it’s needed. Brendan treasures working side-by-side with his family and sharing the genuine ranch life with guests who come to live a little of it for themselves.

Though he runs maintenance, Brendan’s the kind of guy who jumps in wherever the ranch needs him to keep the wheels turning and the day rolling along.
