Greenhorns from all over come back because of the incredible service and long-time friendships they build on the ranch. None of this would be possible if it weren’t for the experienced wranglers and dedicated staff who continue to return to our Dude Ranch in Quincy, CA, year after year. These folks make up the fabric that is Greenhorn Ranch and we wouldn’t be here without them. Here are just a few of the characters every Greenhorn should know.

Amelia has traveled the West following her passion for Equine related positions. From packing mules in the Eastern Sierras of California, teaching survival skills, chasing beautiful sunsets in New Mexico and Texas, or observing wildlife in Yellowstone National Park, Amelia has done it all on the back of a horse. You will be sure to catch the adventure bug from her as you explore the vast wilderness that Greenhorn Ranch has to offer. Beyond the thrills of new landscapes and expansive vistas, Amelia is passionate about teaching a deeper understanding of horses to our guests. “I work as an interpreter between two species. I passionately explore the horse-human relationship” she says. Whether it is your first time on a horse, or you have been riding for years, her patience, confidence and creativity will have you excited for your visit to the Greenhorn.
