Fishing

There are two ponds for fishing at Greenhorn. The upper pond is right next to the picnic area and offers picturesque views of the ranch. We have a catch & release program, but if you want to keep your catch, pay the bartender $5 for your catch and just bring it over to the chuck house and we’ll cook it up for you. There’s a place to dig for worms, or you can buy a cup 'o worms for $2.00 in the saloon.  If you forget your fishin’ pole we have several you can borrow.

Swimming

We have a wonderful heated swimming pool overlooking the corral, and off a viewing deck for parents to watch over their kids. The pool is a great place to relax and let the kids have fun after each day’s ride.

Rodeo Games!

Mid-week we hold a guest rodeo for adults, teens, and younger riders. There’s a practice session with instruction the day before the “big event” for those who want to participate. Our guest rodeo offers the right mix of challenge and fun to make it enjoyable for everyone.

Sports & Games

First there’s the big cowboy softball tournament during the week. Plus there’s usually a volleyball game going on in the afternoon. Or you can play horseshoes. For indoor fun there’s a pool table, air hockey, cards, and assorted board and video arcade games in the game room.

Frog Catchin’ and Racing

On Tuesday night we go out frog catching in the pond (so bring a flashlight). Then on Wednesday night after dinner, there’s the big frog race.

Frogs have jockeys and owners. Jockeys name their frog and urge them across the finish line (the pond)...no hands allowed...only lips!!

Everyone is welcome to bid on their favorite frog and jockeys can win big - a portion of winner proceeds can be donated to help bring a child with special needs to the Ranch.

Greenhorn Creek Ranch - Roasting Marshmallows

Bonfire Sing- Along

Several times during the week we’ll stir up the campfire and enjoy an evening of singing and marshmallow roasting. There’ll probably be a story or two… and maybe even some cowboy poetry.

Cookouts

We do two cook-out meals on the trail during the week – a steak cookout on Sunday evenings and a lunch hamburger cookout on Wednesday's.  We also have a couple of BBQ's out on the lawn. For the trail cookouts you have the option to ride your horse, or ride in one of our horse-drawn wagons.
Dancing at Greenhorn Creek Guest Ranch

Dancing

It all leads to dancing, so let your hair down and kick your heels up! We have line dancing, cowboy swing and all around "get your wiggle on" fun in the saloon! While we love our country tune, we have a wide variety of selections for your dancin' preferences!

Karaoke

Karaoke night is a blast for kids and adults. Our song list is extensive (it’s a book!) so there’s a good chance you’ll find something you’ll want to sing and definitely something we all want to hear!

Card Night

The poker tables are always ready for a game. Tuesday nights are famous for Texas Hold'Em! Greenhorn Ranch is the place for Paquino, a combination of bingo and poker. Everyone can play on Greenhorn Card Night!
